Recruiters.ie has said that 55% of companies surveyed by them, say they will hire in 2012. The survey was conducted with 100 companies based mainly in the sectors of IT, Finance, Pharmaceutical and Services.
The recruitment company said that, of those surveyed, 52pc increased staff numbers in 2011, while 27pc decreased workforce size.
According to Gerard Doyle, managing director of Recruiters.ie, the survey results reflect just how “bullish” businesses are about their future.
He said the survey shows that Irish companies are showing “sheer determination” to succeed, irrespective of market conditions.
