Small Business Show: Pensions & Finance for the Self Employed

Ronan Bray is an independent financial consultant offering broad based professional financial advice with a speciality in pre and post retirement planning.  Recently he came into the Small Business Show studio to outline the options for entrepreneurs when it comes to retirement planning.

When it comes to pensions, it’s not a case of “one size for all”, especially when it comes to entrepreneurs.  For example, many business people may have no interest in retiring at 65.  Sometimes entrepreneurs say that they cannot afford a pension when they are building a business, but it’s worth remembering that pension contributions are a tax-efficient way to take money out of your business, and that even a modest contribution can make a significant impact on the final sum.

The Small Business Show is broadcast each weekend in syndication on Irish radio.  Items from the show are published as podcasts throughout the week on FocuSMEIreland.com.  You can subscribe for free to download the MP3s automatically using RSS or iTunes.
