Small Business Show 5: Startups, Investors and Ireland’s Web Potential

In this week’s podcast, Philip Flynn of Dublin’s Digital Hub Development Agency discusses their new report which finds that Irish SMEs are not fulfilling their internet potential.  We ask: has Minister Varadkar jinxed the recovery?

JLCs are reformed and Superquinn’s receivers make a provision for unsecured creditors.  Plus: what is a twitter hashtag, and how can you use it to tap into the #SMECommunity?

We present a special report from last night’s event in Dublin where companies on the SmartStart programme pitched to investors in Dublin.  Gavin Duffy of Dragon’s Den was there and he shared his thoughts on hothousing startups.  Plus, we talk to each of the 5 startups: Click4ESOL, Sales Factor 3, Golfers Den, Recruit Legal, and Aqua Fresh Fish.

We also shot HD video last night, so check back here over the coming week to see the interviews we recorded with the startup founders.

Have a great weekend!
