A survey released by Peninsula Ireland show an renewed impetus in job creation among Irish companies.
After tracking 1,000 companies Peninsula found that 74% of them planned on hiring in the next year.
In addition, 20% fewer companies planned on making people redundant this year compared to 2010.
Many companies, especially in retail and hospitality, said they would be hiring temporary staff in the run-up to Christmas. This has been backed up by the likes of GameStop and Debenhams saying they are looking for over 800 staff memebers( GameStop 140 & Debenhams 680) for the seasonal christmas period.
