Organic Sector Gets Focused

Shane McEntee TD, Minister of State at the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine has launched Organic Focus, a new national group which aims to act as a driving force for the development of the Organic Sector in Ireland.

The Group is made up of a wide range of stakeholders including the Organic Meat, Dairy, Poultry, Horticulture, Cereals and Aquaculture Sectors.

Minister McEntee emphasised that this new group is “a forum for meaningful discussion on issues that substantially impact the Organic Sector. The principal objective of the Group will be to identify solutions where possible and develop strategies to progress the Organic Sector for the benefit of all”.
